Culinary experiences
Smoked food/party buffet: Smoked dishes from our own smokehouse,
including moose, deer, reindeer,
freshwater herring, trout and salmon.
Homemade salads, spinach pie, flat bread, herb and spice bread, “lefse”
(potato-based flat bread),
as well as dressings and side orders.
Dessert: Ro’s “bærkrom”: Desserts made
with seasonal fruits and berries.
Culinary compositions: The Cultural Cottage’s specialties: cured,
smoked, and dried fish and game. From two to several course menus
prepared both traditionally and with our own special twist. Offered
wines are selected specifically to accompany particular courses.
Entertainment: The chef’s special: a verbal historical journey to
Gausdal Vestfjell (mountain) followed by an introduction to cookery and
baking traditions.
